I mentioned my OS and browser because websites should work in different
browsers. More people using Windows are turning to Mozilla (or its
standalone FireFox), and although I don't think Moz works different
under Windows than it does under Linux, I don't know that for a fact
since I'm not a web designer. I thought since you were developing a
webpage, that would be helpful information for you. Sorry if it wasn't.
I do know that Publisher is notorious for adding all sorts of cruft to
its html and if you are going to want to do websites, you'll probably
want a real html editor. Even FrontPage would be better. Again, I'm not
a web designer and my own website is very basic and plain - made in
Mozilla's Composer, so you can see I'm not at all clever about writing
html myself.

As for clicking on the links on the left, the links don't work in my
browser at all. But since you are still working on it, perhaps you've
disabled links for this morning. The page loads fast, as you would
expect without any graphics (a good thing in a technical site), but
then I'm on a fast cable connection so someone using dial-up will be
better able to judge.

Hope this helps to clarify my earlier posting.

Cheers,

Malke
