well i guess im just going to play ip connection with friends i
suppose. I bought a third game btw and it also had the same cd key so
if anyone else is having this problem i would look for another cd key
or trash the game unless you like single player and multiple people
can use the same cd key you just cant be online at the same time.
thanks for the info again

Microsoft can't "look up" keys, only you have the key, and only you
can see the key on that little label. If the key was damaged, or has
since become unreadable, Then you may be out of luck.
Check your manual and see if Microsoft has a "Warranty Replacement"
option. Often times game companies will replace a damaged game if you
send back the original.

Sounds like Piracy to me, I don't know where you buy your games from,
but you should consider another store, and you might want to report
wherever you're getting your games from to:
http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/
Also if you are actually pirating games from the Interweb, KNOCK IT OFF!
If you want to play the game online, go buy it. If you don't well then
keep pirating, but stop wasting everyones time.
