Go to Control Panel . . . .then to Device Manager . . .. then right click on
Display Adapters . . . .then UPDATE drivers. It will seek a new driver if
it's available. If not . . . it will tell you that you have the latest
driver.
I have installed NVIDIA GEFORCE 8600 PCI enabled. This is into HP Home
edition 2005 XP. The graphics card I have later read is for XP Vista.
Can I
upgrade the XP drivers to handle this as the system is crashing? Thanks

any advice to this simpleton, or do I have to change the graphics card?
Re: vista and VB6 ... If this is a Vista machine then that's exactly what I would expect, because Vista nobbles the card's 2D acceleration and the button is greyed out on all Vista systems. ... But if you are saying that it is greyed out on your XP machine, and if your card does actually contain accelerated 2D hardware, then I suspect you have a driver problem because XP is usually fine in this respect. ...
