hi,
Could anyone help me or give me tips on how to install this product. I
purchased it from Play.com about a year ago so my sons can play games on
the
pc using their ps2 hand controllers. The disk only appears to "half
shouldand
then nothing else happens. i am using Win XP home edition SP2.
Many thanx
Uninstall all the related software, reboot, then plug it in, Windows
pop up asking for drivers, when it does that tell it to browse the CD forhopefully
the drivers and let it install them. Then run the setup program,
it'll work.if
However if you get no joy with that I'd recommend the Xbox 360 wired pad
you want a console-like controller (yes it does need to be the wired oneat
the moment). That will just plug in and work and will set you back £25.when
Using PS2 pads through adapters generally isn't an ideal situation even
they do work they suffer from poor button mapping, support in games andthe
analogue sticks rarely work properly. A friend of mine had one, he got itwas
to work but only in Pro Evolution Soccer, and even then the sensitivity
way out.
I have to disagree. I have a large number of controllers including a PS2
controller hooked into system using a Wasaki PS2-USB adapter. The controller
works every bit as good as my Logitech and MS controllers, all 12 buttons
and 4 axis work reliably. As well, force feedback works fine. The only
problem I've had is simply the lack of consistency in games and how they use
controllers, e.g.; some don't "see" all 12 buttons but I believe that's
crappy programming on the game developers part. In particular, the PS2
controller is very nice to use in Emulators, e.g. Gameboy, Super Nintendo,
N64 and PS1. AND it'll take abuse that it seems no other pc pad will!!!
The Xbox 360 pad going forward will be the default pad that games will be
setup to use, overall its a much better pad anyway.
