Is it Norton Antivirus? If so you might have a conflict as you are running AVG as well. Try disabling one.

Thanks Jimmy: I followed your instructions for downloading and installing JAVa. The little applet showed up in the "system tray" and I thought I had it fixed. As soon as I shut down my browser and turn it back on its gone and POGO says I don'w have JAVA. Java does not show up in the list of Programs, but the JRE is in the {change or rewmove programs list). I have Norton but I am not sure if I should just turn it off or delete it./??Also have Spyware and AVG. Could these be a problem. You re the only one who has gottne me this far and I thank you.,
