I've also looked for my missing log file and cant find that either, its not
been recycled (unless i've permanently deleted it by mistake), any chance
anyone can help me with that also?

PS: just an afterthought: have you checked your recycle bin for your
missing log file?

If you have used a utility like CCleaner you might have removed the log
file. Install the game again and uninstall it the way Paul suggested.

I've just installed the Ubisoft Pippa Funnell 2 game and it has Starforce
Copy Protection this is the first time i've ever heard of Starforce and
its
causing me real problems. I've had various error messages even though the
key code i'm entering is correct, i've tried updating the Starforce
protection, disabled the background software and nothing is making any
difference....the game still wont start, when I click on start on the
games
menu Loading PIPPAF-1 comes up for about a minute then disappears and
nothing
happens, if I try and start it again I get the error message - UNHANDLED
EXECPTION IN THE STARFORCE COPY PROTECTION HOST APPLICATION.
This is now driving me nuts and all I want to do is return the game, i've
uninstalled the Starforce Protection but it wont let me uninstall the
game, I
get the message - Could not open INSTALL.LOG File, this is now totally
beyond
my PC knowledge and if anyone could give me any help on either getting the
game to play or uninstalling I would be totally grateful. Many thanks.

I'd reinstall the game - which should reinstall StarForce and update the
registry (obviously a poorly written an uninstaller!), then if you wish to
remove try removing the game, then StarForce (assuming the game doesn't
uninstall it automatically).

Apparently, so I'm told; there are keys that disabled the StarForce
protection - I seem to remember people having problems with it on the game
Silent Hunter 3; they contacted Star Force themselves who would send this
new key which eithered worked or disable StarForce.

I've removed Starforce using the Starforce removal software, but cant uninstall the game, every time I try I get the error message - Could Not Open INSTALL.LOG so I cant even take everything off and try again. Do you have any idea how I get round the uninstalling problem I have. I have emailed Starforce support twice over the last few days and as yet still havnt received a reply. Many thanks
