Re: complete crash

Laptops are not exactly the best choice to play games as they have (in most cases) only an onboard graphics card. The required memory will then be taken from the system memory and sometimes leaves not enough for the game requirements.
In your case, looking at the error message, it is advisable to update your drivers.
To find out how, proceed as follows:
Right click somewhere on your desktop and choose 'properties' from the drop down menu.
Click on the 'settings' tab of the window, then click 'advanced'
This should give you a tab with details of your graphics card and surely a link or a button to update the card

We keep the laptop on a lap tray and have suffered from overheatin before so are extra careful about vents - we have recently vacuumed them too!

It is only games we have this problem with (whereas with the overheating problem we had it affected everything)

My partner says that it sometimes comes up graphics or driver error when he restarts the machine

I hope someone can help me fix this problem...
Everytime i play a game on my laptop after about 5 mins the screen freezes -
the only way to turn it off is to press the off button (control alt delete
doesnt show task manager)
This happens with downloaded games and with games on disc


What spec is the machine, and what games are they specifically?

My instinct is heat, are all the vents clear?
