Jimmy and Paul both gave you solid responses and information, but there is
one "gotcha" among the mix, and that is not all systems - mainly video
cards - will run The Sims 2. 8-) Our daughters are highly disappointed,
but more toward that game with the specific graphics requirements, than the
computers they use. My word of caution would be to delve into the graphics
system on the new computer to make sure it matches up with what you want to
run. Not all graphics cards are created alike, nor will they run
"everything" in sight with the newer game requirements for shading, etc. Do
your homework first, and then you won't be disappointed.
