I don't get any sound for either Doom 3 or the ROE expansion pack through
either the onboard sound or my soundblaster live card (with onboard disabled.)
All other games appear to play sound without a problem. When I run dxdiag,
directx (9.0c) tells me the sound is emulated and no drivers are listed. This
is after I've reinstalled drivers and updated where available ...

[opensuse] Horked alsa situation ... I followed the directions, and got the onboard sound card working.... how can I put the darn original kernel sound files back? ... (SuSE)

Re: No Mic input ... I reinstalled the original sound driver Realtek AC97 Audio which came ...Mic input has probably never worked; so far I have only listened to ... work with the existing onboard sound?... it's already used for an IDE controller card.... (uk.comp.homebuilt)
