One way to figure it out:
Go into the event viewer (right click 'my computer' icon, select manage, expand 'event viewer).
In either the application or system column you should find error messages. Double click the message and then click the link.
This will open your help center and give you a response (please note that you will have to be online).
Most likely some KB reference will be given.

I reloaded my computer and the first things I install are 1, Mobo drivers from cd, then I install the drivers for my Nvidia 5200 card from the www.nvidia.com site. after both are done...i cant use any cd anymore.. if i try to put in game cd, i get a wondows send error report. I can't even put the cd for the mobo drivers in anymore i get the same message.
Update: ok i reinstalled all the drivers and such from downloads and when i put a cd in the drive, it doesnt auto launch anymore and when you go to my computer, there is no icon for the game/software you have in. everytime you try to run the cd from the setup or install file i get errors, for Diablo2 i get "This application has encountered a critical error: ERROR #131 (0x85100083) Program; E;\INSTALL.EXE File: E:\setup.mpq
now for a software install i get The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.
Can anyone help me?? I havent been able to install or do anything.
