Hi Mysterio,

It sounds like your college provides the internet connection,
and like most colleges they use NAT based firewalls. You
should call your college admin and check with your dorm-
mates to verify my theory. I hope that helps. :-)

| I'm going to describe as best as I can. Recently, I moved to college. Back at
| home, I used dial-up to connect to FFXI (Final fantasy 11) but here, I need
| to use LAN/DSL. I bought my CAT-6 and use my Ethernet card to connect to the
| internet. When I pull up POL (playonline), it will not connect me and I can't
| play. I turned off my firewall(not sure if I even did it right) and I even
| called Square to see what is the problem. They said I have to turn off the
| firewall and try again. If that doesn't work, I have to un-install my
| firewall (which I have no clue to do). What am I doing wrong? Can someone
| PLEASE help me? I'm so desperate now, I don't know what to do..
|
| Remember, I use LAN (or whatever it is) to connect to the internet here. Not
| dial-up.
