If you're running that far behind in updates, I suggest you visit this web
site and take a look at the information regarding parasites and Trojans:
http://www.aumha.org/a/parasite.htm They've also got a very active Windows
XP forum there, including information on Windows XP SP2. Your system sounds
like it has multiple issues, and they need to be straightened out. BTW -
