Did you bought your computer or you builded it from
separate components?
See, I bought a Sony VAIO with 512ram 1.8GH processor(Sony)
and 80GB on hard disk. It gave me problems for several
months after i acquired it, and finally they (the service
company) decided to validate the guarranty and change my
hard drive. Now its ok. The symptoms were continous error
messages and the screen went blue with a text telling me
several error codes (dont remember them now) and i had to
reboot when that happened (about 3 times a day when i
played games or load huge programs).
Maybe you should change a component that manages the
interconnections over devices in your comp (i know there is
one of those in new systems) or even your video card. Try
installing some other devices and see if they work. You
dont have to uninstall the other devices unless you have no
more room inside your comp.
I think this is definitely not a software problem.
