Please don't post so much text in all caps. It's hard to read.

The DirectX version is indicated near the bottom of DXDIAG's "System" tab.
Among other issues, versions before 9.0b, including 9.0, have security
vulnerabilities. I am currently useing DirectX 9.0b (4.09.0000.0902).
Windows update should be offering a DirectX update if you have a version
prior to 9.0b. You could probably find a link for DirectX updates by
searching Microsoft's support website.

The video accelerator information is indicated on DXDIAG's "Display" tab.
Please provive the name, manufacturer, Approximate total memory and driver
version from the upper sections of that tab. The best potential for
assistance is from people with similar video acceleration hardware, often
indicated by the chip type.

Most manufacturers of video cards and motherboards with onboard video
accelerators operate web sites with driver downloads for their current and
recent products. It is quite common for new drivers to have become available
since the fabrication of the installation CDs that come with computers and
various addon hardware like video cards. A clean operating system
instalation from CDs manufactured by Microsoft may require the subsequent
use of downloads or installation disks from the manufacturer(s) of you
computer and peripherals to make all of your equipment fully operational.
