Articles like this are nice introductions, but they don't give you the whole picture. I was trying to answer your question "how update the database to reflect this update " so I guess I don't understqand what you are asking. Can you be more specific on what you mean?

Hi Sean,
"Sean Liming (MVP)" <sean_liming@xxxxxxxxxxxx> a écrit dans le message de news:OgINGokGIHA.2100@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxThe last one with the SP2.
What version of XPe are you using?
The latest is XP Embedded SP2 Feature Pack 2007 --- wiht Update Rollup 1.0. SP2 came with .NET 2.0.Ok then. I need .Net 3.0 also.
But there is something I don't understand: when I build the XPe image on the dev machine, I include components that are present on the dev machine. In this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/07/10/TestRun/default.aspx?loc=en, we can see how to add the .Net 2.0 component on the XPe image (see figure 5). So, I must admit that I'm a little confuse with your question... I thought that I have to install XP embedded on the target machine, and then to create an image to be use on a second partition.
Am I wrong ?
Philippe

I'm a newbie in XP embedded. I would like to create an image for XPe including .Net 2.0. For that, I use an XP development machine. Unfortunately, when I've installed the XPE studio tools on that machine I haven't yet the 2.0 framework. Thus the *.sld file did not include that component. My question is: how update the database to reflect this update ?
