Ahhhh! I'm still using "ACPI Uniprocessor PC" and not "ACPI
Multiprocessor". I'm sure this is the fix I'm looking for.
Related Question: Hmm I am trying to support both platforms of h/w
(old: single core and new: multicore) with only one XPe image. This
will make make life easier. Seeing how Target designer doesn't let you
handle this, is there a way around it. Potentially copying the correct
hal.dll and registry entries after installation? Do you think this is
possible?
Thanks for your quick reply
p.s. I have both of your books (one's even autographed). They have
been very helpful and I definately couldn't have gotten as far as I've
gotten without them. Keep up the Great work.

What computer or HAL component is in the image? You might be using only one
processor because you have something like the Uniprocessor PC for a computer
component.

Hi All
I have just upgrade hardware to a multicore precessor. Surprisingly!
my old image for XPe works with the new hardware. There's a slight
problem though. When I open "Windows Task Manager" and select the
performance tab, I only get ONE "CPU Usage History Graph" and yes I
check if there was the option view -> CPU History -> "One Graph per
CPU". This is EXTREMELY odd. Does Windows task manager key off of
something in the registry? If so what?
thanks for your time
.
