Re: WinVista Embedded?

Thanks Jim. As we're just now finishing up the Feature Pack for 2007 we can go focus on customer requests like this. To ensure requests aren't missed in the newsgroup you're also welcome to send feature requests to our alias: wecrt @ microsoft.com . The Customer Strike Team sees all the mail that comes to that alias.

Thanks again.

There is a significant interest from our group to using a componentized Vista-Embedded product. It has several features that would be very useful in our embedded environment:

1. Better TCP stack

2. Protected Administrator mode.

3. One time Administrative Privilege grant.

4. Outbound firewall

5. The ability to prevent out of date clients from joining the network.

6. Hard Drive Failure monitoring.

7. Windows Imaging (.wim files)

I'm posting this here with the hope that the XPe team might take this request under consideration for any long term plans.

Thanks,

It would be more convenient if Microsoft also release Windows Vista Embedded Beta or RC don't you think?
