Hello Brad, hello nick,
thx for your reply!
@Nick: Yes, I marked it as active.
@Bred: Good to know. In future, I will format the HDD on my target
device.

Matthias,
Also, sometimes the disk geometry is reported differently when you attached
the compact flash with different adapters on different systems. So
partitioning the disk on one system may cause it not to be bootable on
another. Your best bet is to diskpart / fdisk the CF on the device if at all
possible.

Hi Matthias -
WinPE and WinXP use the same diskpart/format.exe. (Assuming you're
using WinPE from booting the XPe Disk 1) Did you mark the partition as
active with diskpart?

Hello,
I have a problem with the format off WinXP Pro.
I plugged the Flash-IDE to a USB controller and mount it with Windows
XP Professional.
Now I can use diskpart and format like I use it with WinPE.
But when I boot this disk (without usb controller) on my TD it hangs
during "Verifying DMI Pool Data" without any other messages.
Did WinXP Pro format the USB-HDD devices not like WinPE or a usual
IDE-HDD?
Kind regards
Matthias
