Re: Event IDs

Hi,

Currently I'm struggling with the same thing.

You'll find much info on this page: http://www.eventid.net

Concerning 6009, 6005 and 6006, they're just Information messages, no
real errors (if the source is EventLog, that is)

I also get 55 (NTFS) and loads of 4427's (MSDTC).

I'll try the extra components too, and keep you posted.

Hello,

I have another problem again. On the Applications Event log on the SP2 XPE
image, there are some messages:

The description for Event ID ( 6005 ) in Source ( EventLog ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL
files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the
/AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for
details. The following information is part of the event:

I see this for 6009, 6006, 6011.

I saw many posts on this, and tried the following:
1) Added Group Policy Client Core. (Group Policy Core Administration MMC
Snap-In component was already added.) This component was 0kb, and it pulled
in the Support files component. Is this the correct behaviour?
2) Added Software installation group policy extension and MMC snap-in (did
solve another 1041 error though)
3) Checked the registry and made sure the userenv key was in
4) Checked and copied the AppPatch files from XP Pro over to XPE.

I still see the Event ID error messages after doing the above. Could
someone please advise what else can be done?

Many thanks!
