I tried your sld file, but it doesn't work either. It is pretty much the
same as what I had created myself referencing the ks.inf & wdmaudio.inf
files.
I ran TAP from WinPE. I guess I could indeed compare the components with
that of what XP Pro returns.
I'll try that next.

For what it is worth, attached is an SLD with a component. The newer INF
required KS.INF and wdmaudio.inf to import correctly. There are allot
more
resources in the new INF file.
When you ran TAP on the hardware, did you have Windows XP Pro SP2
installed?
Did you try installing the audio before running TAP? Running TAP with all
the drivers installed on XP Pro, captures all the multimedia information
needed for audio drivers.

I have an XPe image that worked fine with with the Edirol UM-1 MIDI
interface: I was able to easily build a component with its drivers. We

have to support a new version of the same HW (RoHS compliance fun

but I can't get to build a new component that works with the new driver,

In facts, I can't even manually install the driver from XPe, though I

able to install drivers for most devices I tried to support with a

critical component for that new driver. Or maybe the install chokes on

someone can guess what component maybe required by the new inf file,
that
wasn't required before...
