The device is a Gateway Connected Touchpad and I'm assuming the
motherboard was manufactured by Gateway. The touchscreen is a model
MK712 and is made by this company:

There are Windows 9x/ME drivers available for this touchscreen
controller, but none exist specifically for 2000 or XP. Is there no way
at all to use the 9x/ME drivers on XPe?
