Hi KM,
Basically, the board has a dual gigabit controller with the two devcie id's:
"PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1010&SUBSYS_10118086&REV_01\4&204B4BFA&0&20E810".
"PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1010&SUBSYS_10118086&REV_01\4&204B4BFA&0&21E810".
FBA installs the both and they are running well after fba. After several
boots (EWF diabled!!)
there are two extra device ID's in the device manager. Theay are:
"PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1010&SUBSYS_10108086&REV_01\4&204B4BFA&0&20E810".
"PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1010&SUBSYS_10108086&REV_01\4&204B4BFA&0&21E810".
The registry has than 4 instances.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TEMP\ControlSet001\Control\DeviceClasses\{ad498944-762f-11d0-8dcb-00c04fc3358c}\##?#PCI#VEN_8086&DEV_1010&SUBSYS_10108086&REV_01#4&204b4bfa&0&20E810#{ad498944-762f-11d0-8dcb-00c04fc3358c}]
#PCI#VEN_8086&DEV_1010&SUBSYS_10108086&REV_01#4&204b4bfa&0&21E810#{ad498944-762f-11d0-8dcb-00c04fc3358c}]
#PCI#VEN_8086&DEV_1010&SUBSYS_10118086&REV_01#4&204b4bfa&0&20E810#{ad498944-762f-11d0-8dcb-00c04fc3358c}]
#PCI#VEN_8086&DEV_1010&SUBSYS_10118086&REV_01#4&204b4bfa&0&21E810#{ad498944-762f-11d0-8dcb-00c04fc3358c}]
The only difference is the SUBSYS_xxxx of SUBSYS_1011 to SUBSYS_1010.
THe SUBSYS_1010 is NOT on the board!!!!!!!! But the setupapi.log says that
it has been installed because the
DIF_PROPERTYCHANGE occured. And the existing SUBSYS_1011 related device is
being replaced by the wrong SUBSYS_1010 device.
That is the problem.
Your questions:
1) Do you use Cloning of your image (fbreseal)? No, so far.
2) Are you seeing the problem (whatever the problem is) if you have EWF
always disabled? Yes.
3) Did you componentize the driver yourself? Intel offers a sld file for
this controller.
4) If you did, did you use CD tool for that? What is CD tool?
.
