Re: User rights and XPe Component Database

Thanks KM,

but problem remains. I made a lot of tests, here is a course of actions, if
you could check and
see what is wrong.

- On a PC, I installed the tools and SP2 update, database etc..
- I'm administrator of the machine.
- I create a new local user on this machine, I called it XPeUser
- I added this login to the database user as explained in the XPe install
documentation (with Enterprise mgr)
- This login has the WES_Admin rights on the database
- Now, I log to this machine under XPeUser.
- I start Target Designer and create a new configuration
- I build the configuration with no component ( in My Documents folder)
- I have the error message described below (Code= 0x80042338) under target
designer
-----------
Now I change a setting: I add XpeUser as a member of the Administrators
group of the machine
- XpeUser can build image correctly
I also set this user as a member of the other predined Windows groups
without success.

So my question is :
What are the necessary right for a user to be able to build an image. In
which group he has
to be member ? Of course he souldn't be administrator.

I don't think it's a database rights problem but an access right to an other
thing such as a temp dir,
also used by target designer for example.

Thanks a lot,
Richard.
