Do you have LBA option turned on in BIOS?
Also, BIOS upgrade may help.

With some versions of fdisk you will be prompted about the size > 512Mb:

Hi,

Has anyone come across issues to do with fdisk not reporting correctly the size of a Compact Flash
when it is say 4G in size. Fdisk reports CF as being just 512M. How would one resolve this issue.
CF is SanDisk Extreme III 4Gb card , type Removable.
