Hi Mike

  I too had this same problem, i used Diskpart on WinPE to partition and
format the virtual drive then copied the
  XPe files over but nothing happened just empty black screen. KM told me to
use dos to partiton and format but i
  don't have floppy drive on my labtop so i then got told to get dos boot
cdrom which i haven't got hold of so am still
  stuck. Anyway using the WinPE tools should work, it does on a real hard
disk. So maybe there is a problem with
  Virtual PC , i would have thought someone would have noticed this by now.
