lawless,
Take a look at the thread below with subject "Shutdown by power switch with MinLogon":
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.embedded/browse_frm/thread/c4a3e3f20c140ea/9f798554bf0fecaa?q=Shutdown+by+power+switch+with+MinLogon&_done=%2Fgroup%2Fmicrosoft.public.windowsxp.embedded%2Fsearch%3Fgroup%3Dmicrosoft.public.windowsxp.embedded%26q%3DShutdown+by+power+switch+with+MinLogon%26qt_g%3D1%26searchnow%3DSearch+this+group%26&_doneTitle=Back+to+Search&&d#9f798554bf0fecaa
Some issues while porting to SP2 may appear.
I guess FBALog.txt, SetupApi.log and Kernel Debugger will be friends of yours to work on the issue.
