CreateProcess API. I'd be interested in knowing what other components you
have in your runtime to reproduce the behavior you see. I created a command
shell configuration with only the necessary hardware and I still get the
desktop. I had to hit ALT+Enter to get cmd.exe out of full screen mode to
see anything. It appeared at first the command did nothing but resizing the
cmd window revealed it started the explorer shell. Typing explorer.exe at
the command line again brought up windows explorer.
