Here's the short of it. I need to know if there's a way to make dirvers written for Vista to work on Windows XP..
I got a new system (with Vista, of course). So, like most people without a lot of money to blow, I made my system dual bootable for Windows XP. That way I don't have to buy (again) expensive software that I already own that was working fine on Windows XP.
I have had no luck getting drivers for my sound hardware. The OEM of the computer, Gateway, is refusing to be any help at all. I am finally giving that up and, in desparation, am grasping at straws, thinking that perhaps the Vista drivers can somehow be used on XP.
