dvd-rom

My laptop had Windows ME, I now have window xp every thing
is working except my dvd-rom. I have a toshiba dvd-rom sd-
c2502. will not read any disk. Toshiba said that there is
no special driver needed for there dvd's. Any help will
be appreciated
