Resolution - Autoplay/CD Rom Recognition

It seems one of the causes of this problem is Norton
Antivirus 2003. Visit symantec.com and search for 'CD' if
you need details. The resolution is to update every item
listed under 'live update' and repeat the process until
the system reports everything is up to date. For my
system, autoplay now works for the first time since I last
installed the OS.
