G'day to all.

I would like to know if I can prevent XP from shutting (and/or
restarting) UNTIL I decide to do so?

In other words, I don't want XP updates (or anything) to shutdown
and restart my system. I've looked at all the Policies and can't
see anything obvious.

Thanks in advance.

Do not choose to automatically download *and* install the updates for you.
Then do the updates yourself when you are ready to.
