System File Checker
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
I occasionally run System File Checker (sfc /scannow) to be sure
Windows files are present and in their correct versions. In the
Registry, How do I point to a location different than the original
Windows XP CD? Then I could avoid having to get out the CD every time
I do this. A long time ago, I set this up on my C: drive - but have
forgotten which Registry entry to change. Now, I would like to do it
on another logical drive on the same computer. I know I have to place
certain Folders and Files from my original CD on my drive - so, help
in that area would be welcome also. Thank you in advance........
