Re: changing registered owner

Do this CARFULLY
Start > Run > type regedit
click edit, then find, type registeredowner, when it finds the correct key,
(make sure it matches what's there already) right click and select modify
and insert what you want, then exit regedit.

Hi- I got just got an (used) older pc with windows 2000 professional (on a
windows ME) already installed.
How can I change who it is registered to (under system properties>general
tab), to me since I own this pc now. Presently. it is registered to a
bunch of numbers (no name listed). Can I place my name on this pc now that
I am the sole owner of it?

Thanks so very much for your help-! ! ! !
