Hi Nick,

I may have misread your post. You say it happens when they click on a "file", not folder. This won't fix it if its a file problem.

I had someone call me today who said that after installing Windows
Defender,
whenever they doubleclick any type of file to open, it launches a search
function instead of the file. He also states that when he right-clicks a
file, it now shows "Search" instead of "Open" has anyone seen this?
