Machine now requires login

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I'm running XP Professional, SP2. Ever since I installed the latest
security upgrade this past weekend, when you restart Windows or
sometimes when the screen saver is interrupted, it goes back to the
"Welcome" screen with the little icon, which I have to click to log in.

I have exactly *one* account, no password, and I'd like my computer
back the way it was, logging in automatically to the default user. How
do I do that?
