Your question isn't making sense. I think you said they work OK in IE but not in someting else? Whatever you use to view them has to have the ability to play them, it's that simple. If not, all they do is show the first frame of the gif. But, not knowing what you mean, have nothing more useful to add. Pop
Right, thanks for pointing this out...
If I view a page in IE with what I know is an animated gif on it, and that page is on my hard drive - I see the animation.
If I upload that same page to my website the same animated gif in IE now only, as you say, shows the first frame and does not animate.
I'm assuming a security setting or an internet option somewhere is set wrong that somehow allows this distinction but I'm blowed if I can pick out which one it is.
Is that clearer now? :)
