Works fine here. What's the error code/msg you get?

Use:
sc config RemoteRegistry start= disabled

Not this:
sc config RemoteRegistry start=disabled

having trouble disabling a service from the command line?
should I use sc.exe?  or netsvc.exe?  
also what syntax should i use for example if i want to disable the :Fast User Switching" service?
