Defragging multiple partitions...

Each time I run defrag on a different partition, a new instance of
dfrgntfs.exe gets loaded in memory and does *not* shut down. I've been
seeing this on every single one of my XP machines since XP came out. No
patch, hotfix or service pack (that I've found) has ever fixed this problem.
Is this even being acknowledged by MS?
