There are many *free* pop-up blockers, and one of the features of XP SP2
that has now gone public, and is relatively bug free for a Beta is a built
in pop-up blocker. Tentatively XP SP2 is scheduled for RTM by MSFT on
7/21/04 but that could change of course. I think that the SP2 pop-up
blocker works extremely well, and they are doing a nice job of offering you
several options in connection with it up on the toolbar for changing
settings for it on the fly. These will get you going if you don't want to
install the SP2 Public Beta until it's RTM soon when you can get the
finished version:
