I have Norton anti virus on my machine and I want to scan my computer once a week. I have it set in the scheduler to do so, but it only runs if I am logged on. If I am logged off (which I will be since I want it to run at 2am) it doesnt run. I went to the knowledge base and couldnt find anything that works. I entered a password for my account but that didnt work.

Will the Scheduler only work while the use is logged on? If so, thats kind of useless isnt it? I dont want the virus scan running when I am using the computer, thats the beauty of a scheduler.

Should I be using a script? I dont know what they are or how to use them but is that the solution? I have some other programs that I would like to schedule in the middle of the night but whats the point if it doesnt run

any help would be appreciated

bill
