Just create a new shortcut for Explorer. The target line is still in
shortcut properties like it was in Win98 and ME. Once you have the shortcut
setup, you might consider dropping a copy of it into your Quick Launch
toolbar.

Or copy the Windows Explorer shortcut from the start menu to the desktop
and work on its properties there.

Don't forget that Windows key +E is available for opening Explorer as well.

TIP: When you get a single paned window instead of two panes, click the
Folders button located in the standard toolbar. It is a toggle for "View>
Explorer Bars> Folders" (the familiar tree view in the left hand pane).
