Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
I found the manual and have done a reset as you suggested, my laptop is now picking up a default access point, at full strength, but I still cannot access the setup page via 192.168.1.100 as shown in the manual.

Perhaps you are right, I need to repalce it!

The only way you could fix this is to locate how to complete "reset"
this AP back to the factory defaults. However, the only document for
this AP is supposed to be a user guide, which is already "damaged"
prior to downloading.

One suggestion is to "ditched" this Newlink 11g Access Point. A
possible replacment unit is:
