Re: Saving color and display settings

There may also be Power Settings in the Bios

If by power management, you mean the settings under performance and
maintenance and power options under control panel, I set it for never turn
off monitor, hibernate or standby. That stopped it from reverting when the
screensaver came on but it still reverts after some undefined period, or
overnight. Other than that, I am not sure what power management settings
you
are referring to.

I have a MAG MV940 monitor running on a Dell Pentium 4 4700. I am
using
XP.
My monitor always defaults back to a dimmer setting than I like. The
graphics
accelerator is an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver and all
drivers
are
up to date. I go to advanced setting and adjust color, contrast, etc.
and
hit
apply. Then I close that window and hit apply again under the main
window.
I
have hit both replys in various combinations and it still defaults to
the
dimmer display after a re-boot, hibernation or overnight. If I leave
the
Intel window opens, it postpones the dimming but it eventually goes
back.

You might want to look at the Power Management settings
for the display. Whatever's set there may be overriding the Display>>
Properties settings.
