applications in Add/Remove Programs list are missing

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hello,

Thanks in advance for assistance, I greatly appreciate it!

I click on the Control Panel and then Add or Remove Programs, the Change or
Remove Programs button displays and there is a note "Please wait while the
list is being populated ..." but no programs ever appear.

I have looked into the registry after reading some of the posts and the
programs that DO have the on/off switches to display the programs seem to be
in the off position.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to turn the programs back on so
they will display without my trying to edit each and every one?

Has anyone tried the Restore Change or Remove Programs program on Kelly's
Korner site at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm?

I can't help but wonder if one of my antivirus ore spyware programs has
turned off access to the programs.

Any ideas will be appreciated!

Thanks,

Ted S.
