Ok I found some more info but not sure if I should apply the patch.

Here is what the help says.

Explanation
The redirector could not determine the physical characteristics of the
connection, for example, the media type or bandwidth. Typically, this
occurs when the computer uses a tunnelled connection such as a virtual
private network (VPN) or a Point-to-Point over Ethernet (PPPoE) to
connect to the Internet. This message is logged for informational

So I am wondering if my home network using ADSL is coming into play
here as I use a ADSL Switch / modem DSL504 and it now appears as a
UPNP device in network settings?

This is an older posting with two links.

This is beyond my understanding so if anyone can check this out it
would be good. My lan is 192.168.0.1 etc. I do not know what it is
talking about with the loop back? Are there any network geniuses out
there?

I am not using any VPN just a plain lan sharing and ADSL connection
and the modem does all the ppope stuff.
