Hi -
Bought my first computer last Dec. - an HP Pavilion a300n -
XP Home. Didn't know it was a pre-install! [duh]

I've had to do 3-4 System Recoveries and have Restore
Points set - as well as the discs hp has you make in the
event that your partition gets messed-up.
Wondering what can I do to help insure that I can start
Windows when another problem occurs - last time, had to
use the Rec. Disc and am worried that even that won't work
next time.

Anything short of an upgrade to XP Pro? And how can I
access the Recovery Console without an OS CD?

Any advice would be great,
El
