Have you installed DVD burning software and DVD codec software? I have a
Pioneer A06 drive and under My Computer it says Drives with Removable
Storage... DVD-RW but under drive type, CD Drive.
However since it works for both viewing DVDs and burning DVDs, I'm really
not at all fussed at what XP would like to call it! If I put a blank DVD
drive in it, absolutely nothing happens... until I launch Roxio EMC v7.
Doesn't mean I haven't burned about 80 DVDs (both data and video)... and not
a single coaster yet!
