Can a System Restore point be kept for ever?

Does any one know if XP pro can be tolled to keep a specific restore point
for ever? What I want to do is setup the PC with all the apps/settings and
then create a restore point to which I can go back at any time. XP uses a
FIFO method to the restore points, but I want it to keep a specific restore
point for ever; I want to keep it for the life of the computer.

Thanks
