Re installing xp

I have just re installed xp on my machine. i had to set
up new users to get rid of all bugs and rubbish i had
picked up over the years. my system is now much better.
My problem is that i can see the start ups for Outlok,
Word and Excel but i can`t start them as my new users
cannot access the applications. the software was embedded
and i have no discs.

any suggestions
