Hello
A clean install is always the best way when changing operating systems,
deleting, formatting and partitioning of the drive will remove any unwanted
items and allow you to start fresh.
Be sure to backup any files you wish to keep, unhook all hardware except the
Monitor, Mouse & Keyboard before starting the download.
If you are using an upgrade XP cd to do this you will need a qualifying
media cd (98, 98SE, ME, ext.) restore disks will not work, XP comes with all
the needed tools on the CD to do everything.
